Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes:
- Oral cancer screening
- Digital x-rays(less exposure) and visual examination to detect decay(cavities), inspect existing fillings, crowns, and bridges for leaks or cracks
- Evaluate tissues and bone supporting your teeth.
Periodontal Treatment
You should have a standard cleaning at least twice a year. A periodontal treatment includes an Adult Prophy (basic cleaning). If it has been over a year since your last cleaning, possible treatment may include either a full mouth debridement or a deeper scaling and root planning.
Fillings/Crowns/Bridges/Veneers
You can have a new smile with porcelain restorations. Bloomington Dental Group will provide the best cosmetic option for your dental restorations. All fillings will be light cured tooth colored composite resin to match your existing teeth. All crowns, bridges, and veneers will be either all porcelain or porcelain fused to white zirconia for the best possible esthetics and strength. Our office provides the benefit of one visit crowns using our state of the art CEREC Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacture machine by milling all porcelain crowns while you're in the office.
Bleaching
Our ZOOM - Professional Whitening System will make your teeth whiter in one visit. Another option is our home bleaching system you take with you for results in a few weeks. You can also consider a combination program of both systems for optimal, long term results.
Root Canals
We perform root canal therapy on most teeth usually in one visit. We use the latest techniques to remove the pulp and clean the canals.
Dentures/Partial Dentures
For missing teeth, we provide dentures and partials to give you the best fit, cosmetic result, function, and speech.
Mouth Guards
Whether you are an athlete or casual sports participant, you should wear a custom mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you grind your teeth while you sleep, an occlusal guard will help reduce symptoms of TMD and protect you teeth.
